Sentament Card Game

Senior Capstone three month long project, focused on creating and developing a card game. Deliverables included designing and developing physical product of seventy-five cards, game box, three posters, a brand guide, and sticker designs.

Overview

Sentament is a card game with its purpose to find vulnerability and closeness with others. The word "sentiment," focuses on the idea of feelings, or sending your regards and best wishes to others. Sentament game overall focuses on the idea that healing isn't always the answer, but to simply just feel, and hope that those who play receive our sentiments and have a space to feel their emotions. In reflection to the games agenda, the three topics and their art work are highly reliant on surrealistic design. Much like feelings, surrealism does not have to make apparent sense to anyone and it is up to an individual to look deeper into hidden meanings.  The overall game has a mail theme, with the cards having a postcard design to theme.

Card Design Process

Each card design focuses on different topics, with different illustrations that I believe reflect the topic at best.  I shifted my focus on captivating mental and emotional state along with the physical result of the quarreled mind. I also took weeks to write paragraphs, similar to affirmation cards, and questions for the purpose of the game.

Posters

Sticker Designs

Sentament stickers reflect a surrealistic and art nouveau inspired design, following the theme of mail, by being designed as stamps.
